A Beautiful Dingwall Morn
From Mitchell Hill, Dingwall overlooking MacDonald Memorial and the Cromarty Firth, Highlands
Dingwall is an attractive market town at the head of the Cromarty Firth in Ross-shire. On Mitchell Hill above the town sits an impressive monument built by the supporters of Sir Hector MacDonald between 1904 - 07, also known as 'Fighting Mac' who was a distinguished Victorian soldier.
It makes a very enjoyable walk from the town to the top of the hill, enjoying the panoramic views of the Cromarty Firth and Black Isle.
My original painting of A Beautiful Dingwall Morn has been sold.
