Morning-tide at Shieldaig

Shieldaig is a small village in Wester Ross in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland.  Its name comes from the Viking word meaning loch of the herring.  Despite its size it has its own school, pub, village hall, church and is also a popular holiday destination for those interested in fishing, and explorers of the Torridon Hills, which are a few miles around the coast.  I love walking and cycling in this area and it has become one of my frequently visited villages on the West coast.
