The quiet beauty and vivid colours of Mellon Udrigle, a remote beach on the Rubha Mòr Peninsula, inspired this piece. Standing there, I was struck by how the shifting light transformed the sea — from deep indigo to bright turquoise — and how the stillness carried its own kind of energy.

Through bold brushwork and layered acrylics, I wanted to capture not just what I saw, but what I felt in that moment: the pull of the tide, the salt in the air, and the sense of peace that only places like this can offer.
